Take a Guided Wildflower Tour

This garden, one of Cornell Botanic Gardens’ many Natural Areas, is at its peak in early spring, when native woodland wildflowers such as skunk cabbage, trout lily, marsh marigold, and trillium take advantage of the sunlight and warmth provided by the still-bare tree canopy.

The habitats here, remarkably varied for such a small area, include a forested slope, flood plain forest, pond, meadow, and seasonal streams. This garden incorporates formal plantings with more natural settings at the east entrance, emphasizing the important role of native plants in gardens and ecosystems.  It is also an excellent spot for birding.

Mundy Wildflower Garden provides a tranquil and picturesque place for a stroll through the woods, and stream-side benches for rest, reflection, and a reconnection to our natural world.

Susan Jaquette, an LLH member, will give this guided tour.
