Join Us for a String of Events Surrounding the Play: The Roommate

In conjunction with the Kitchen Theatre, we have put together a theatre extravaganza for the first Sunday in February. The afternoon starts with a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre, with particular emphasis on special effects that will be used in this play. This is followed by an open hour in the reception area where you can relax with a drink and chat with fellow theatre goers.

After the play, there will be a special talk-back for us given by the Director and the two main actors.

The Roommate: Meet Sharon, a fifty-something recent divorcee, and Robyn, her mysterious new roommate from the Bronx. As the two learn to live with each other–and their baggage–in Sharon's Iowa City home, they start to see what's missing in their lives. A laugh-out-loud comedy of moving boxes, new beginnings, questionable business ventures, and a little bit of marijuana.

The play stars an Ithaca favorite - Susannah Berryman as well as a newcomer - Maureen Keiller.

We have negotiated a highly discounted price of $25, plus the cost of any beverage you buy.

If you are coming to see the play, you can attend as many of the other elements as you wish.

If you need a ride, please contact the office at 319-0162 or by email at office@lovelivingathome.org
