A Late-Summer Walk through the Cornell Botanic Gardens
Thursday, September 20, 2025 from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m.
Jean McPheeters, an LLH member who is also a docent at the Botanical Gardens, invites you to another walk with her through the gardens near the Nevins Center. This walk will focus on some of the medicinal plants in the herb garden, The Young flower garden, and the Winter garden, which is also lovely every season of the year. If the vegetable gardens are still producing, we will also visit this area.Jean will answer your questions, provide information on some future plans for the gardens, and, she hopes, entice you to visit the gardens, the arboretum, and the more than 3000 acres that the Cornell Botanic Gardens manage in Tompkins County.
A rain date will be determined closer to the event if necessary.
Parking is available in the lot near the Nevins Center. There are several handicapped spaces there as well. Use the machine in the lot to enter your plate number and buy a two-hour pass. You will only be charged for one hour--about a dollar. You do not need to put the receipt on your car window. Parking can be scarce, so car-pool if possible.
