Join LLH members and volunteers on Sunday, September 21 at 2:00 pm for the Kitchen’s performance of Bad Books. You are welcome to purchase tickets for guests as well. The play’s run time is 90 minutes.
"Bad Books an incendiary 90 minute dramedy about a mother who goes to war against her local library for loaning her son a “vile” book. The play takes on censorship, parenting, the rise of influencer culture and so much more. It’s alternately hilarious and heartbreaking, and would give your students a lot to discuss: the value of free speech, the rights of parents to dictate what their children experience and read, the impact of social media on our community relationships, and so much more. A small content warning: the play touches on the theme of suicide, and a gun is brought onstage." Learn more.
Please let the office know if you have any accessibility issues such as hearing or mobility needs. These will be passed along to the theatre.
There will be a fifteen minute talkback with Emily Jackson, the Kitchen's Producing Artistic Director, following the show.
