The Travelog Interest Group will meet bimonthly, starting January 15, 2026, to expand our horizons.  We are going to try out a hybrid meeting approach:  That means members will have a choice of attending the meeting in person at the LLH/Warren Real Estate conference room at Community Corners (limited to 12 people who must register above) OR joining via Zoom (unlimited; links in the daily program email). In each meeting we will try to include two travel presentations, each limited to 30 minutes.

The first hybrid Travelog meeting will be January 15 at 2:00 pm.  Peter Davies will present Botswana in Southern Africa. Martha Haynes will present the Parma region of Italy.

Members are encouraged to contribute their experiences to the Travelog, and enjoy the experiences of others--but there are no requirements! Destinations can be far away or close by. We appreciate that there are many styles and purposes of travel, and expect a variety of experiences and destinations.  Travel tips on tour groups, accommodations, food, mobility issues, transportation, guides, local customs, sight-seeing, important attractions, history, architecture, weather, etc. can be shared.

Presenters may use photos they've taken or images/maps from the internet.  Contact Elaina (emm5@cornell.edu) if you are interested in presenting your travel, or if you would like help with organizing graphics for presentation, etc. And ideas can be posted to Village Talk.

We'd like to start each talk with a map to get our bearings. We hope to maintain a digital push-pin map to record the places we've visited vicariously.
